Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky has had her share of bad dates -- but this weekend's ill-fated kayak adventure may top them all. On Sunday, Fedotowsky and fiance Roberto Martinez were kayaking with another couple in La Jolla, Calif., when their boat capsized, according to People. The TV-matched couple's romantic day trip ended at the ER, where Fedotowsky had five staples put in her head. Luckily, the reality star is all right -- just a little shaken up.
"Made it out of the ER w/staples in my head & a little less hair after falling out of a kayak," Fedotowsky wrote Sunday evening on Twitter. "Scary stuff. Wearing a helmet next time."
The TV personality hasn't lost her sense of humor, though.
"I think I freaked out more when the doctor cut my hair rather than when he put staples into my head," she tweeted. "Lol. Very thankful to be ok :)"
On Monday morning, Fedotowsky tweeted that she was "back at work" -- with only a "big headache" and a strategically-placed headband as evidence of her accident.
We know what you're thinking -- what about Roberto? Apparently he escaped injury, but stood by his fiancée's side in the emergency room.
"Roberto was fantastic," Fedotowsky's rep tells People. "He kept her calm and took great care of her."
Fedotowsky announced last week that she'll be cohosting a new daytime talk show on the Style Network, along with Adrianne Curry and Vivica Fox. She currently works as an on-air correspondent for Fox 5 San Diego, and she's in the middle of planning her wedding to Martinez. Clearly, it will take more than a head injury to slow this lady down!
